This was an incredible culinary experience. From the moment my colleague and I walked in the door, the customer service was absolutely exceptional - the gold standard of it should be. The food came promptly and tasted delicious. I ordered the dynamite prawns whilst my colleague ordered lamb chops for starters, and we ordered a mix grill and lamb curry for mains. It was exquisite. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Solihull.

I've been to Lavang twice now and it's a lovely restaurant with a really nice ambience. All of the staff are so welcoming and happy to see guests. The service is very attentive.
The food is authentic and full of flavour, it's hard to decide what to have because there is so much choice on the menu. Some restaurants don't ask about allergies but they do at this restaurant. The nice touch is the dry ice! I'll happily continue coming to Lavang, it's definately a hidden gem!
Visted for the first time a few weeks ago, highly recommended to book in advance. Went on a Saturday was really busy, it is a small place so not many tables available. Was impressed day of reservation got a text checking we were still coming then when replied got reply back saying thank you & look forward to welcoming us, was a nice touch. Was greated nicely by name, was slightly early so came back as not much space to wait, was seated promptly and service was great.
Food was well cooked, recommended the lamb dishes - nice and tender, well spiced. Only drawback was parking, had to drive round to find space - recommended getting there early to find space.
Overall a lovely meal and great service, will return.
We went as a party of 4 and from the moment we walked in the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. This was our first visit (won’t be our last) and we wanted to see if it was as good as the reviews said it was. We were expecting very good things from reading the Google reviews but our expectations were exceeded by a country mile. The food was incredible, the meat was fresh and tender….who needs a knife when it falls apart. The flavour of all the dishes we had were a burst of flavours in your mouth that made you want another mouthful even when you were full. The deserts are handmade not frozen rubbish most places use and I have to say that by far they made the best chocolate mousse cake I’ve ever had it was light and fluffy and tasted incredible. The lamb madras was the best curry I’ve ever tasted and to be fair the honey glazed lamb chops were incredible too. Throughout our experience staff were friendly and attentive. I can’t remember the last time I went for a meal and smiled so much throughout. An absolutely incredible experience and definitely up there as one of the best restaurants I’ve visited. We will definitely be back very soon.
The reviews don’t do it justice if you like a good curry come and give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.
Lavang immediately became our "regular" after the first visit.
I tend to eat the pretty much same thing every visit but my wife
explores the menu and is never disappointed. We even paid to join the club that gives a year's 20% discount.
Mind you, being able to take your own booze and put it in their fridge, is a massive bonus as far as the final bill is concerned.
If we have several drinks our bill might be 50% of what we'd pay in a licensed equivalent.
I'd recommend booking well in advance as it is always busy.
We had a lovely meal here this evening. The food was really good, lots of choices. The staff were so kind and professional, and made us feel welcome. Lavang is very popular, and with good reason. Excellent food, great value and lovely staff. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you.
Table of 11 visited for my sisters birthday. The restaurant was on the smaller side but this meant the staff were very attentive. The food was really tasty and good value. Its bring your own drink too. Will definitely be returning!
